The hotel is just a fifteen-minute walk from the famous Hel Peninsula, a huge advantage for hikers. The availability of two parking options – a more expensive one right next to the hotel (PLN 40 per day) and a cheaper one a few hundred meters away (PLN 25 per day) – is a practical solution, although it's worth remembering that this service comes at an additional cost. This location makes the hotel an attractive option for those seeking accommodation in the heart of Hel.
Room Standards – Promise and Reality
The issue of rooms at the Hotel Hel is one of the most polarizing topics. On the one hand, guests appreciate their spaciousness and practical features, such as the electric towel rail in the bathroom and the fold-out clothes dryer – details that are incredibly useful during a stay by the sea. Superior rooms also provide guests with bathrobes. On the other hand, there are many criticisms regarding the quality of the finishes and the overall impression. Despite the building's youth, many guests feel that the rooms appear significantly older, and their décor is described as austere, lacking in coziness, and built at the lowest possible cost. This means that the accommodation offered may not meet expectations for a property of this class.
